Biographical Sketch

Jeong Goo Kim received the B.S, M.S, and Ph.D. degrees in Dept. of Electronics Engineering from Kyungpook National University of Korea in 1988, 1991 and 1995, respectively.
From 1995 to 2005, he had been a faculty member of School of Information and Communication Engineering,Miryang National University.
Since 2006, he has been a faculty member of School of Computer Science and Engineering, Pusan National University , Korea.

Areas of Interest

Jeong-Goo Kim's research focuses on applications of information theory and coding to modern communication systems. It includes design and analysis of bandwidth and power efficient digital modulation and coding for wireless channels; coding for digital storage and recording; coded orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(COFDM) technology; and digital broadcasting systems. Recently he is interested in advanced signal transmission scheme for next generation T-DMB.
